We understand the value of having practical, hands-on experience.  At our two-day in-person event, we help you develop your networking skills by:

Eight 20-minute networking sessions with attendees from the conference and guests

What better way to put your skills to practice than getting to know new people using the techniques you just learned.  Once you are registered a representative will sign you up to an Advanced Business Match online portal. Our team will support you in accessing the portal and filling in a simple profile.  Once your profile is ready you will begin to choose from a list of attendees who you would like to get to know a bit more about at the live event.  During the live event on day two you will attend 8 20-minute networking sessions with attendees. 

We will provide you with the tips, tools, techniques and worksheets so you are ready for your eight 20-minute networking sessions with attendees from the conference.

Joan is an Indigenous Entrepreneur that is versatile, passionate and committed to providing education and professional development to Indigenous organizations, communities and individuals. As an experienced Chartered Human Resources Professional (CPHR), and Certified Coach she also has many years experience as an Instructor and Facilitator co-creating solutions with her clients. She is an Authorized Partner and Certified Trainer of Everything DiSC programs and The Five Behaviours of a Cohesive Team helping to cultivate positive workplace cultures, training and development for leaders and employees.

Judy Michaud - CEO Transglobal Business Group Inc.

Judy Michaud has spent the past 24 years serving Indigenous community leaders and business owners by developing and designing both in class and online courses that meets the needs of her clients. As a Metis business women, she understands the Canadian landscape in Indigenous education and business and has a mission to support Indigenous people in their quest for professional development. She is also a certified facilitator of the Everything DiSC programs and The Five Behaviours of a Cohesive Team. Judy loves teaching both in class and online and in Feb. 2020 Judy was awarded Inspirational Teacher and Mentor by North East Advancing Society and was nominated for RBC Canadian Women Entrepreneur Awards 2020 and 2021.

Katrin Harry (Jeh’Jeh’Ganak) is originally from Germany, immigrated to Canada in 1992 and has been working in the Indigenous business space since 1997.
Decades of project and event management experience led Katrin to the creation of ABM, a community of Indigenous and non-Indigenous decision-makers who come together to create opportunities for business.
ABM offers a powerful forum to make connections that result in ethical business relationships and practices that do not threaten the right of Indigenous people to exist.
It is Katrin's firm position that the integration of Indigenous ways of knowing, being, and relationship-building into mainstream business practices is imperative to having even the faintest chance of addressing climate change, the global slide into totalitarianism, and increasing economic inequality.
